On Wednesday, 1 October 2025, the large educational family of the Fondation Révélation Sainte Thérèse gathered to honour its patron saint, Saint Thérèsa of the Child Jesus, in a spiritual, fraternal and joyful atmosphere.
The event, which brought together more than 1,500 students, as well as the entire administration, faculty and supervisory staff, took place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the school gymnasium. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by the celebrant of the day, the Abbé of the Parish of TOM. It took place in several solemn and participatory stages.
The school choir, composed of talented pupils and supervised by their teachers, led the congregation in prayer with their harmonious songs and rhythms from diverse backgrounds, further enhancing the celebration of the day.
After the liturgical greeting, the priest welcomed all participants and invited the congregation to place themselves in God’s presence, while recalling the importance of Saint Teresa as a model of faith, simplicity and love.
The Liturgy of the Word
- First reading: proclaimed by a pupil, it invited meditation on faith and humility.
- Responsorial psalm: sung in chorus by the whole congregation.
- Gospel: solemnly proclaimed by the celebrant, it focused on the message of love and trust in God, themes dear to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux.
Homily: the priest urged the students and educators to follow the example of the patron saint by cultivating faith, discipline and a spirit of charity in their daily lives.
The Eucharistic Liturgy
- Presentation of the gifts: pupils carried the bread and wine, symbols of the Eucharistic sacrifice, to the altar, accompanied by songs of thanksgiving.
- Eucharistic Prayer: the consecration was experienced in profound silence and great fervour, marking the high point of the celebration.
- Communion rite: all those who had received the sacraments received communion, while the entire assembly joined in prayer and song.
Before the final blessing, the celebrant entrusted the entire educational community to the protection of Saint Teresa, patron saint of the school, so that she may continue to inspire young people in their academic and spiritual journey.
A moment of sharing and conviviality
After Mass, refreshments were offered to all the pupils in an atmosphere of joy and fraternity. Smiles, songs and friendly exchanges marked this festive moment, which helped to strengthen the bonds between the children.
At the same time, a special reception was organised in honour of the celebrant, bringing together the administration, teaching staff and educational supervisors. It was an opportunity for fraternal exchanges and thanks for their constant commitment to the education and integral formation of the pupils.
A highlight for the Foundation
The celebration of the feast day of Saint Thérèse is a spiritual and community highlight for the Foundation every year. It recalls the Christian identity of the establishment, which places the values of faith, work, discipline and fraternal love at the heart of its educational mission.
May the intercession of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus continue to accompany the entire educational community in its mission to train young people to be competent, responsible and rooted in the faith.
